Merlin. I just loved a book that I read when I first really started reading heavy fiction. I don't remember the name of the book, but I remember the story and how wonderful it felt reading that book and living in that world for just a little while....

Writer's Block: The long and winding road

Are there any difficult events in your past that made you a stronger person today? If you could go back and erase them, would you?

That's a tough, tough question. It was a very tough thing to go through. It's was learning experience, a growing experience and it was a necessary part of life. It made me much more aware and would I erase it? I would love to erase the pain and emotional damage my mother suffered, but as for me, no, I would not erase it.

Writer's Block: Life's lessons

I would tell Mr. Zelle that he is an ass, egotistical and arrogant goblin with absolutely no idea how to teach - and oh, by the way, I AM NOT STUPID!

If you could confront the worst teacher you've ever had, what would you tell him or her?

The sunshine sure looks good today. I cannot believe that the years have passed so quickly that my brother's son is confirmed today.

We attended a party last night and it amazes me a how the years have not changed any of us in my eyes. We are all still the same, but if you look at pictures from 20 years ago, we have definitely changed. Weird, huh?

I got to play in my toy room all day yesterday although I have plenty of other things to do. I resisted the temptation to buy a new laptop, and I am glad I did because the front driver side wheel bearing of my truck went out -to the tune of approximately $150.

Anyway, I am grateful for a lot of things today...too numerous to mention.

I am pleased to hear that Wills will marry Kate. I am also very pleased to see that he is supporting her through this very pressure filled time. Granted, he doesn't garner the same scrutiny that Charles did, but the British are so hungry for good news, that every eye will be on them nonetheless. I thought I could resist the whole fairy tale wedding, but I guess I'm pretty hungry for good news too. I watched the royal wedding from a hospital waiting room when I was little; I wasn't planning on watching this one, but I might just have to. Hold your own Kate - stick together and you'll be okay. Maybe Diana is watching over you and providing you some help too. I can only hope.

Weekend of ups and downs....

Up... got my dining room painted
Up... my spouse helped me paint even though he hates it
Up... beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures
Up... got to sit outside with my kittens
Up... got to have supper with my favorite niece
Up... got my flowers planted
Up... got 1/2 the carpet torn up
Up... got to spend time with a very good friend
Up, Up, UP...Russell didn't win a single vote in Survivor! Whoo hoo!!!!!

Down...the floor beneath the carpet is not usable
Down...I am very out of shape
Down...visted a graduation party of a niece that I have not had the opportunity to know because her mother forbade it..
Down...time passed too quickly for the weekend
Down...ran out of steam and didn't get my dining room finished

I guess it was a great weekend! The ups outweighed the downs!

I never new the difference......

I made an appointment with a new chiropractor yesterday. I made me nervous to go, because I really hate getting "cracked". It seemed like each time I was adjusted, I was being assaulted and then I spent the rest of the evening with ice and feeling like I had been run over by a truck. I also felt nervous because the chiropractor I selected was one that I knew as a kid growing up since she is a relative and that's really the only reason I chose to go to her. OMG! She was marvelous! First of all, she didn't assault me! She was so gentle and the whole technique was sooooo much different! She had me lay down instead of sit and her technique was a LOT less invasive of my space. Sure, it was much the same general principle as the other chriopractor, but I never ever would have guessed that in order to get an adjustment like I KNEW I needed, but didn't want to get because I didn't want to get beat on, I just had to go to Tiff. If somehow you read this, Tiff, THANK YOU! I feel so much better and I slept through the night FINALLY! I can see better (my vision was blurred), I can walk better, and I can lay in one spot for more than 10 minutes. I know that next time, I won't put off getting an adjustment because I'm afraid of getting "cracked".
